"We don’t speak French, so we were a bit nervous, but the server was very patient and friendly. The restaurant has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, with even an outdoor garden seating area. The dishes were beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. Highly recommended!"

"Spanel did not disappoint! The ambience was lovely, and the staff were both attentive and knowledgeable. I had the special crepe of the day, which came with a mimosa and a delicious soup—such a great combo. The crepe itself was next-level: Serrano hamon, roasted cherry tomatoes, spinach, arugula, goat cheese, all wrapped in a buckwheat crepe with a perfectly fried egg on top. The staff recommended adding maple syrup—and wow, that took it over the top! I’m definitely going back to try more from the menu. Highly recommend!"

"The restaurant entrance looked quite simple, but as soon as we walked in, we felt a special warmth and friendliness — and the hostess definitely played a key role in that. We started with delicious mimosas and pour-over coffee, and the two crêpes we ordered from their diverse menu were, in my opinion, the best we’ve had in our three years in Montreal — they truly made our day. "What a hidden gem in Montreal! The crepes here are truly amazing…one of the best we had so far (highly recommend the Martiniquaise). We also tried two savoury crepes for breakfast, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. You can feel the care and hard work in every detail. The service was warm and attentive. The owner was very kind, honest, and offered us great recommendations from their menu, and made us feel welcome. "We had a great experience at Spanel! The staff was very helpful and gave great recommendations on what to choose. There are plenty of options to choose from. "Absolutely amazing I have never tried the green vegetable crepes. Spinach, Asparagus, and Avocado on delicious crepe. I loved it. As a former meat eater, I can tell you I smelled a delicious bacon too."

"A very nice brunch place on Notre Dame street! We all had buckwheat crepes and it was so delicious and filling! We started with cappuccino and orange juice and then I had the smoked salmon Atwater buckwheat crepe while others had ham Quartier Latin crepes and everything was so delicious ! Very good service and the perfect place to bring family and friends :) Would love to try sweet crepes next time! UPDATE: Went for brunch and as always great food and fantastic service at this awesome 11/10 brunch venue MORE UPDATES: Went for a late brunch and had coffee, hot chocolate , Parisienne, and Atwater crepes and as always fantastic food with fantastic service and fantastic music playing in the background"
